For those of you waiting for the post spinin workshops, and for anybody who will still be in Bothwell, plans are underway for a bus trip to tour the environments to Derwent Bridge with Walkers Tours.
Visit the following local landmarks -
*Wall in the Wilderness, (www.thewalltasmania.com), and watch artist, Greg Duncan, work on his 100 metre x 3 metre sculpture depicting the history of the Central Highlands.
*Waddamana museum, now a fascinating hydro electric museum. Hydro electricity first came to Hobart in 1916 from this power station.
*Victoria Valley, situated between Ouse and Dee Lagoon, was the site of a convict probation station between 1841 and 1845.
*Lunch at Derwent Bridge (byo or purchase your ownat the cafe/store), a very small settlement located near Lake St Clair
*Hamilton, an unspoilt, typical historic Tasmanian town, full of historic buildings.
